What is a 48‑Port Fiber Distribution Box?

The 48‑port fiber distribution box is a high‑capacity termination and distribution enclosure designed for FTTx communication networks. It serves as a centralized termination point for feeder cables to connect with drop cables, enabling fiber splicing, splitting, and distribution in a single enclosure. With support for multiple adapter types (SC/LC/FC/ST), IP55‑IP65 protection, and flexible wall/rack/pole mounting options, it is the ideal solution for high‑density residential complexes, multi‑dwelling units (MDUs), commercial buildings, and campus networks.

48-Port Fiber Distribution Box  Selection Guide

Installation Instructions

Wall Mounting

Mark the drilling points on the wall based on the box's mounting holes. Use appropriate wall plugs and screws, secure the box, and ensure it is level.

Fibre Entry and Routing

Route feeder and drop cables through the sealed entry ports. Use the integrated cable guides to organise fibres and maintain a minimum bend radius of ≥30mm.

Splicing and Termination

Perform fusion splicing in the integrated splice trays. Secure spliced fibres in the trays, store excess fibre loop, and terminate drop fibres into adapters on the front panel.

Testing and Closure

Test all connections with an optical power meter or OTDR to verify loss within specification. Close and lock the door to complete the installation.
